Holds

Manage your digital and library holds. You can cancel, suspend, change your pickup location, and check the status of your holds in My Account.

Cancel holds

If you no longer need an item you placed on hold, you can cancel your hold at any time.

  1. Select the Holds menu, expand Library Holds menu.
  2. Check Select All, or check individual items.
  3. An exclamation mark indicates that the item is Available and waiting for pickup.
  4. Click Cancel Hold(s) button.
  5. Confirm Yes to cancel holds.
  6. Look for the Hold(s) successfully canceled message.

Suspend holds

Delay when your hold will be filled in advance. Use this option when you know you’ll be unable to pick up items during an extended time period.

  1. Select My Account, expand Library Holds menu.
  2. Check Select All, or check individual items.
  3. Click Edit/Suspend Hold(s).
  4. Enter a Start Date and End Date.
  5. Select Suspend.

Change Hold pickup location

If your library participates in Pickup Anywhere, you can change your pickup location for items to any participating library.

  1. Open the Personal Information menu.
  2. Open the Preferences menu.
  3. Under the Preferred Pickup Library, choose the library where you would like to pick up your hold.
  4. Press Update.

If you need to change your hold pickup preference on existing holds follow these steps.

  1. Select the Holds menu, expand the Library Holds menu.
  2. Check Select All, or check individual items.
  3. Select the Edit Pickup Location(s) option.
  4. Choose the library where you would like to pick up your hold.
  5. Press Change.

Hold status

Check the status of your holds to know when they’re ready for pickup.
