Notes
The group discussed the Use It or Lose It workshop they are hosting at Crete Public Library on April 29th. The group decided that each presenter would come up with 5 examples and upload item images to SharePoint. Instead of using Kahoot, they talked through using ballots, which they would have to count. Instead, they decided that for the sake of time, attendees would use a paper sheet to mark their opinions, followed by a raised hand share during discussion. Concern was raised about how it would be difficult to find non-obvious examples for the workshop.
The group also spoke about having a panel discussion at SWAN Expo discussing hiring, training, evaluating, developing, and retaining staff. There was also talk about creating a poster session on Circulation as a Career Path. Pam, Martyn, Kathy, Parish, Sandy, and Samantha are planning to be at Expo and could present.
Crystal promoted the new ILL mentor program and asked the group to spread the word at their libraries.
