Agenda

Co-Chairs:

  • Peggy Tomzik, Chair, Eisenhower Public Library District
  • Victoria Muraiti, River Forest Public Library

  1.  Welcome and Introductions
  2.  NCOA
    1.  There are patron records in which the NCOA tag in the User Cat 6 field remains, but the NOTE under the Extended Info Tab has been removed.
    2. Should patrons identified in the 2021 NCOA analysis be deleted by SWAN?
  3. Reminder: when sending an Unusable item back to its home library, please remember to write a reason that the item is unusable on the routing slip.
  4. How do other libraries handle payment plans for their patrons with bills?  Do you offer payment plans?
  5. Would it be possible for Sirsi Dynix to create a status that blocks patrons at the self checkout stations who need to update their phone numbers or email addresses. This block would direct patrons to the Circulation Desk to update their information.  This block should still allow patrons to use e-resources.   How do other libraries handle patron records when corrections are needed in the phone number or email address field?
  6. Reminder: Please do not affix labels or notes to the first page of books!  Some member libraries have been receiving their items returned with labels or notes on the first page, and when these notes are removed, it rips the page.
  7. Co-chair opening
  8. The June 2026 SWAN Circulation Networking Group Meeting is an in-person meeting.  Is there a member library interested in hosting this meeting?
  9. Around the Zoom meeting
  10. Next meeting: Wednesday, April 15, 2026 9:30 am
