Update March 9th, 2026: We are delaying the rollout of the new Hoopla API, due to unexpected issues that arose during our rollout preparations. We will announce a new go live date with these issues are resolved and we're confident we can move to the new APIs without negative impacts to our online catalog.
Hoopla has announced enhanced consortia support through new API endpoints, giving each member library full control over how their Hoopla content is displayed within a shared Aspen instance. Libraries previously shared one Hoopla Instant collection with individual scopes to highlight each library's offerings. Now, each library's Instant collection will be visible and in sync with settings previously only available in Midwest Tape. This enhancement also lays the groundwork for an upcoming Hoopla Flex integration.
