Hoopla Maintenance
May 6 (1:00–4:00 a.m. CT)
Hoopla will undergo planned maintenance on May 6 from 1:00–4:00 a.m. CT to support infrastructure improvements that enhance performance, uptime, and long‑term reliability.
During this maintenance window:
- Hoopla access will be temporarily unavailable
- Patrons may see login error messages (these are not related to accounts or passwords)
- Usage and transaction reporting will be unavailable or delayed
- Reporting is expected to be accurate again by 7:00 a.m. CT
- Catalog updates, including those relying on API integrations, may be delayed
A downtime banner has already been scheduled in Aspen and will automatically display.
Hoopla Flex Launch

Reindexing has completed for all Hoopla Flex libraries.
Update - May 13
Launching Hoopla Flex for those subscribing libraries required a full reindex for each library in order to bring in the Flex entitlements. This is taking longer than originally expected. Indexing and full collections are expected to be in the library catalog by the end of this week.

We’re excited to share that Hoopla Flex is being added to both the Aspen library catalog and the SWAN Libraries+ app, bringing even more Hoopla content directly into patron search results. Flex‑eligible titles will now surface seamlessly across both platforms, making discovery smoother and access more consistent.
